On July 31th, Went to the city for Melbourne Open House 2011. Dont you think it's awesome to visit part of the 75 buildings which cost free~! Indeed, I realized that there is a lots of buildings in melbourne that I have not visited yet!
Geyer Studio located in a well preserved Edwardian Baroque Buildng at Collins street.
Accompanied my friend, Jessica to Dandenong Market. She stayed over at my place for few days before back to Macau for holidays. She wanted to go to this market because of cheaper price of nuts you can get. My mum definitely ask me to buy nuts before I'm going back to Malaysia for summer break.
Saw quite a number of people were lining up for kebab. So, I assumed it should be tastes good.
My Morning breakfast
Lamb Kebab. Yums!
And Donuts. I'd prefer Queen Victoria Market's one though.
Contains less strawberry jams.
I was like ... WOW! Apparently, this is my first time to see different types or flavours of nuts.
I feel like trying all of them!
I'm a fan of dried fruits. Bought Dried Strawberries and Raspberries.
I have forgotten what kind of dessert is! Sorry!
But It tastes really good. XD
I would say this is sweetest potatoes that I ever ate in Melbourne. Love it ! Googled what's Kumara meant. It's the same name as sweet potatoes but New Zealand called it as Kumara.
Met a old man when he was buying it as well. He recommended me to serve it with coconut cream.
My mum's hometown - Ulu Yam, Selangor. It just 45 minutes drive from KL.
When I was a kid, I used to dislike that place. It's a village! Nothing much I can do over there. Indeed, I hate that place because there is a lot of mosquitoes around and they love to bite me! Guess what, now I would love to go back by any time.
Dropped by one of the houses that no one is staying there anymore.
YES! We picked dozens of bananas from the trees and tapioca, 木薯 from underground. My mum really good at making 木薯糕 known as Kuih Ubi Kayu. Urgh.. I miss it.
And rambutans and pineapple! We used to pick it, clean it and sell it in the market. Part of my childhood memories. No doubt, whenever we were ready back to kl, our car boot definitely occupied with lots of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. As we back home, we started to give away the fruits to relatives.
