Cafe On Eaton - Oakleigh

I'm craving thissssssssss at the moment. Thanks darren for the highly recommendation.

Oakleigh is another suburb of Melbourne and this area is known to have a strong Greek Cultural influence.
Thus, authentic greek food and desserts are easily found around this area.

One of the greek food you must have - Souvlaki !

Open Mini Plate - Mixed souvlaki - Lamb and Chicken [AUD12]
Served with Tzatziki sauce and greek salads.

They made a mistake for the portion and gave me the normal portion instead of mini plate one.

This is sensational.. Yums!

Suzuki Night Market at Queen Victoria

Summer season and you better dont miss out the night market at Queen Victoria. It's only available on Wednesday night during the 3 months period. I remember the first time I went there, I feel so excited about the crowds as I really missed the night market in KL. There is variety of food such as spanish, korean, asian, middle east and etc. Somehow, the price of the food can be pricey and the portion is pretty small as well. This is my third time of going to the night market. Oh well, I'm getting bored with the food but yet, I still like walking around the night market.

Boxing Day in Melbourne

First experience for boxing day. I've been studying here for almost 2 and the half years and this is my first time staying here over the summer break. I will be back to KL on next week. I'm excited !! Anyway, took this opportunity to experience how's boxing day like.

Woke up at 6 in the morning and I felt crappy as I only slept for 4 hours. To me, it's really hardcore to wake up freaking early in the morning and do shopping at chadstone.I never been wake up early just to shop for anything before! All of us (my housemates) were pretty excited and looking forward to experience the first time boxing day in melbourne!

People. People. People. Massive crowded at chadstone at 9 in the morning. Faint.

At Noon, I went to the city and met up with Jessica. Crowd in the city was so much better compare to Chaddy. Lunch time at Mook Ji Bar AGAIN. Loves!

Had durian (my favourite) and tried a new flavour Pistachio Ice cream. I'm not a fan of pistachio though.

Met up with my housemates at night - Mang Yik (left) and Liliane (right)
Absolutely energy drained since I woke up at 6am and hang out till late night. Been hanging out for almost 18 hours.

Saw the right train notice and took that train back to Huntingdale. We weren't aware with the change of the route and end up we stranded at Gardenvale station at the midnight 12am! You gotta be kidding me. There wasn't any train back to the city and we were forced to call up any friends to save us from the train station.

Overall, I had a very memorable boxing day in Melbourne. But honestly, I think the deals on boxing day, it just additional 10% off compare to the previous days before Christmas and the price still consider expensive to me after the discounts. Instead of talking the stuffs that I have bought, I think it's such an eye opener to see the crowd of people on boxing day and stranded at the train station at 12am.

Just a day at Funfair

Thanks Ivy for the job offer at Caulfiend Racecourse. She's taiwanese and currently backpacking in Melbourne. Great experience to work at the funfair for a day. Oh well, at least the job made me more brave to shout out loud in the public !!!! Which I'm not used to it for the first 20 minutes. After that, I almost lost my voice as I'm shouting for the whole day.

This was the booth that I'm working with Ivy.

All I need to shout was :"CATCH A FISH, EVERYBODY WINS!" to attract the kids' attention. All you need is to pay 5 dollars to catch a fish or 10 dollars for 3 fishes. You'll definitely get a soft toy. Each fish has its own numbers. So if you get a big number, you get a bigger soft toys. What I thought is, the kids are more interested to catch a fish under the water rather than to get the soft toys.

Lavender Farm at Lavandula

4 girls with a "clueless and anything" trip on that day.

Initially, our plan was to the hot springs. However, it's under redevelopment and cancelled off our plan except the road trip still on without a destination that we wanted to go.

End up... we went to the Lavender Farm! We were lucky enough to go on Friday. They closed on Thursday and will be closing on Christmas Eve too. How lucky we are! Or else, we will be still wondering where else can we go.

Our first time tasted lavender ice cream. The moment the ice cream with cones reached on our hand, it smells lavender. Ate it and tasted sooooooo lavender. Best highlight of the day - Lavender Ice Cream!
