Hash Specialty Coffee @ Melbourne CBD

When comes to brunch in the city, I always clueless and nothing was on my list to try. Somehow, the symbol of # has caught my attention when I randomly walked passed. I mean, who doesn't know hashtag now.

Hashtag #foodie Hashtag #littlebitsofnow Hastag #cafeinmelbourne

But, have you tried out the Hash specialty coffee yet?
If not, why not give them a try?!

For the first visit, I am impressed with the food and cafe interior. It was newly opened on last month and I am glad that I have found this gem within 2 weeks of their opening. It was located at Hardware lane which right opposite to Hardware societé. Yup, you have two great options for brunch now.

Perfect for those who prefer less sweetness.

Leek and Cheddar Croquettes ($19.50)
leek and cheddar croquettes, ham hock, cauliflower puree, cavolo nero and turmeric poached eggs

The puree was smooth and pack with flavour. I just keep going back for the puree and nothing has left on the plate. Crispy croquettes, poached egg cooked beautifully and overall I really enjoyed this dish.

Grilled Banana - Pecan Loaf ($17.50)
grilled banana and pecan loaf, burnt honey mascarpone, white chocolate, custard, macadamias, milk crumbs and blueberries

Dish of the day and highly recommend to try out this breakfast! I'm not a fan of banana bread but i would love to have this again. The texture of the loaf was so good with the crunch of pecan and great combination with mascarpone. Surprisingly, the sweetness is well balanced with custard.

They do have interesting menu like crispy quail and foie grass. I will be looking forward to try out their lunch menu for the next visit!
